Doctors Aivee & Z Teo: What’s in a lift?

For celebrity doctors and super parents Doctors Aivee and Z Teo, the most uplifting technique — the one that keeps you forever young — doesn’t come from surgical procedures.

It comes  from the “laughter and chatter of our kids when they are together,” says Dr. Z. The Teos are proud parents to KenZ, Kenzo and Keli.

“Seeing and hearing them together make our heart and soul warm, and make us very happy,” adds Dr. Aivee. “My greatest source of uplift is my family—their presence, their laughter, and the quiet strength they give me every day. They are my constant source of joy and balance.”

No wonder the couple look relaxed and content — the result also, of their fine balancing act between parenting and their busy schedules. Aivee considers it a blessing that she and Z are able to weave home and their profession into a seamless quilt.

At present there are eight Aivee Clinics, including one in Singapore. But the couple are present in their three children’s lives, in their school milestones and even in Keli’s cooking demonstrations in the family kitchen.

Still, sometimes, the Teos, like most of us humans, need help for “outer” uplifting.

After all, according to online medical  sources, “Appearance influences self-esteem.”

“There’s robust evidence that self-perceived attractiveness and grooming can affect confidence in social situations, which in turn influences happiness and how people interact with others,” according to Bristol24/7, an online United Kingdom-based publication.

Dr. Z is excited about the next phase of laser lifting: Endolift 2.0, which he playfully described as a “heavy lunchtime treatment” — a quick 25-minute procedure.

Z is amazed at the “90 to 95 percent” satisfaction feedback he gets from patients who have tried the Aivee Clinic’s Endolift and Ultralift (which combines Endolift with other treatments).

“It’s like out of 10, 9 to 9.5 people are happy.  I’ve done so many procedures and there’s always a percentage of people who come back and say, ‘Oh, I’m not satisfied with this.’ But for Endolift, they’re just happy. The result is gradual, that in three months, suddenly they start looking better, they will just be very happy. It’s a laser treatment underneath the skin — the skin becomes better, the skin glows. Not only do you get a bit of a definition and tightening of the skin, the skin becomes younger.”

Z and Aivee shared their own experiences with Endolift, which is part of their yearly regimen, when the Aivee Clinic was honored as the Top Endolift User in the Philippines by Creative Skin president Cathy Velez and Dr. Roberto Ruffa, global Endolift expert.

The award was presented during an exclusive gathering held at Manila House where industry leaders, media, and Aivee ambassadors celebrated the clinic’s continued excellence and pioneering work in non-surgical lifting and contouring.

“Endolift is a minimally invasive laser treatment designed to tighten skin, contour the face, and stimulate collagen,” said Dr. Ruffa.

There is virtually no downtime, according to the Teos, who resumed their normal activities after the Endolift “date” they had later that afternoon.

“We don’t stop in the pursuit of anti-aging. We try to push further by learning the latest, that’s why we constantly invite experts to our center because technology is just getting better and better. So we have Endolift 1.0, 2.0. Next time you’re here, we will have 3.0,” said Dr. Aivee.

No pain, no gain, it is often said. But not for Dr. Aivee.

“The most important thing is that we’re always in the constant pursuit of making the treatments comfortable for our patients, with minimal downtime,” stressed Aivee. “And we have to make sure that we really learn and master the technology because if it goes to the wrong hands, then of course. You won’t get the results that you want. So how does it last long? Make sure that the doctor is well trained, the doctor knows how to do the procedure, that the doctor knows which combination treatments or what treatments you can combine it with to get the best results.”

“And most important, it must be safe,” added Z. “Yes. So for us as doctors, the first thing we do is ‘do no harm.’ That’s the first thing we do. The safety of this technology has already been established.”

But he warned, “There are actually quite a lot of copycat machines out there. So you be very, very careful.”

Aside from making sure they “do no harm” as doctors, the Teos emphasize the importance of a trained and skilled surgeon performing the procedure.

“The surgeon must be experienced doing it. So this is not something that anybody can do,” the Teos stressed.

According to Dr. Ruffa, one may have Endolift once or twice a year.

Also present as the Aivee Clinic was recognized as  the top Endolift user were Aivee Clinic ambassadors Maricel Soriano, Joanna Preysler, Cat Arambulo and Monchet Olives, all long-time supporters of the brand’s commitment to beauty innovation. They each shared their personal Endolift experience and how happy they were with the results.

“The award affirms the clinic’s dedication to providing world-class, science-backed, minimally invasive treatments to the Filipino market,” said Aivee.

I won one of the raffle prizes and am looking forward to an “uplifting” experience at the Aivee Clinic soon. Beauty isn’t skin deep, it truly goes beneath the skin…as Endolift does.
