Solaire Resort North opened its latest destination, which ushers in a new kind of nightlife in Quezon City. The Quezon Club offers a refined, immersive alternative to the usual after-dark scene — blending dining, drinks, and live performance into one seamless experience.

This supper club is positioned as the city’s most distinctive after-dark destination, which moves away from the typical bar or lounge format. The 500-square-meter venue comfortably accommodates up to 100 guests and boasts a layered atmosphere designed to evolve as the evening unfolds, starting with refined dining and transitioning into a lineup of entertainment, including dancing, singing, or a harpist performing. The result is a venue that feels intimate, expressive, and modern.

Chef de Cuisine January Belardo leads the kitchen with a focus on redefined classics such as shrimp cocktail, beef tartare, lamb rump, and paella Valenciana. A crowd favorite is the Quezon Club Salad, which combines Parma ham, duck confit, fresh grapes, and apples with mesclun greens and yogurt dressing.

The dining area

The beverages are created by head bartender Martin Protacio. Each cocktail takes cues from local artisans, blending timeless classics with bold twists in flavor and presentation. A well-chosen wine list as well as non-alcoholic options round out the bar, making sure there’s something to enjoy for everyone.

Quezon Club completes its transformation from restaurant to cultural destination when the club showcases live acts from around the world. Some nights carry the energy of a low-lit jazz session, while others drift into something more experimental such as pole dancing or magic.

Solaire Resort North sets a new benchmark for nightlife north of the metro with this club.

Philippine Pavilion bags silver at Osaka World Expo

The Philippine Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka received the Silver Award for Exhibition Design, recognizing its outstanding creativity, craftsmanship, and visitor experience. Presented by the Bureau International des Expositions — the organization that oversees and regulates World Expos — the award honors self-built pavilions with plots under 1,500 square meters that demonstrate exceptional exhibit design and storytelling.

On the same day of the awarding, the Philippines also held the official closing ceremony of its Pavilion, celebrating six months of cultural exchange and collaboration. Since opening in April, the Philippine Pavilion has welcomed over 1.1 million visitors. Under the theme “Nature, Culture & Community — Woven Together for a Better Future,” the Pavilion stood out as a multisensory experience that combined AI-powered installations, traditional weaves, culinary showcases, and live performances.

Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines chief operating officer and secretary-general of the Philippine Organizing Committee Margarita Montemayor Nograles led the closing program that was also attended by Ambassador Mylene Garcia-Albano of the Philippine Embassy in Japan and Tourism Undersecretary Myra Abbubakar reading the keynote speech of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco.

Designed as the first-ever live performance façade for the Philippines in World Expo history, the Pavilion featured over 200 hand woven panels created by Filipino weaving communities across all 18 regions of the country. As part of the Pavilion’s second life, its key elements will be repatriated to the National Museum of the Philippines and selected regional sites. Plans are also underway for the use of some of the elements in the upcoming ASEAN Tourism Forum and Travex which will be held in Cebu in January 2026, extending the Pavilion’s impact after the World Expo.

The Philippine Organizing Committee led by the Department of Tourism and the TPB commissioned a visionary design team with Carlo Calma Consultancy, Inc. as lead architectural firm and designer; Chochay Garcia as creative producer; architect Yuki Kanou as executive architect and lead project manager; and Tellart as guest experience designer.

The TPB aims to market and promote the Philippines domestically and internationally as a world-class tourism and MICE destination. As an attached agency of the DOT, TPB develops strategic partnerships with private and public stakeholders to deliver unique high-value experiences for visitors, significantly contributing to increased arrivals, receipts, and investments in the country. *
