MANILA, Philippines — Members of national minority groups staged a protest against the United States at the Bonifacio Monument in Manila on Thursday.
The indigenous peoples' groups earlier filed criminal and administrative cases against Manila Police District officials for the violent dispersal during their rally in front of the US Embassy last week.
A police van repeatedly rammed into protesters, leaving several student activists and Lumads injured.
