INFOGRAPHIC: Agreements, commitments made during APEC
MANILA, Philippines – As the 23rd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Philippine hosting concluded on Thursday, several bilateral meetings were made which gave the opportunity for the leaders to discuss matters and exchange agreements.
The country hosted the APEC Summit for the second time this year but held it in Metro Manila on November 18 and 19, with over 10,000 international delegates including the 21 high level officials in attendance.
During the sidelines of APEC Leaders’ Meeting, the Philippine government through President Benigno Aquino III and his Cabinet was able to seal deals on military modernization, trade, strategic partnerships, cooperation in risk reduction, transportation, tourism, technical vocational training, health, anti-illegal drugs drive, avoidance of taxation and support for the overseas Filipino workers, among others with various APEC economy members.
These agreements and commitments are said to be the fruit of Filipinos' cooperation during the APEC week.
