First penguin born in Philippines blessed by Catholic priest

MANILA, Philippines — A four-month-old Humboldt penguin named "Kaya" was blessed by Catholic priest Jacob Gomes prior to its first swim Wednesday.
Kaya, whose name means "capable" in Filipino, showed itself to the public at the country's largest oceanarium, the Manila Ocean Park in Manila.
The four-month-old penguin, born July 8, 2014, becomes the first penguin to be born in the country.
