Best actor for New Breed was Dante Rivero in “1st  ko si 3rd” while Eula Valdez was best actress for “Dagitab.”

“Kasal” by Joselito Altarejos was the best film in the Director’s Showcase, while “Hustisya” by Joel Lamangan was the audience’s choice and won the Netpac award.

Nora Aunor was best actress for “Hustisya” while Robert Arevalo won best actor for “Hari ng Tondo” by Carlitos Siguion-Reyna.

Mike Tuviera won best director for “The Janitor” in the category for veteran filmmakers.

In the short feature category, “Asan si Lolo Me” by Sari Estrada was best film while “The Ordinary Things We Do” by David Corpuz was special jury prize winner.

Cinemalaya X drew down the curtains amid a controversy over unauthorized uploading of some of its past films on the Internet. After the CCP, the film fest usually moves its screenings to the University of the Philippines while the better grossing ones have extended runs in malls.
