FACTS: The Philippine Arena in numbers

MANILA, Philippines - July 21 marks another historic date for the members of the Iglesia ni Cristo, as they open the World’s largest indoor dome, the Philippine Arena.

The arena was opened in line with the centennial celebration of Iglesia ni Cristo on July 27.

Because of the mammoth edifice and the astounding assembly, Philippine Arena has been creating waves and buzz. With that, here are some numbers that may just put you even more in astonishment:

Number of Filipino construction workers who died while building the arena.

The seats in the Philippine Arena are divided in three colors based on the INC flag – green, white, and red.

 Eraño Manalo Medical Center, the Bulacan campus of the New Era University, the Philippine Stadium and the Philippine Sports Center are the four establishments that will be housed by the arena itself.

It is the centerpiece of the 140-hectare Ciudad de Victoria in Bulacan.  The complex  spans two towns in Bulacan – Bocaue and Sta. Maria.

The seating capacity of an average coliseum is 22,000, which makes the Philippine arena one of the biggest.

The world's largest indoor arena has a seating capacity of up to 55,000. It is definitely more spacious than the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, and the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The total lot area of the arena is 74,000 square meters.
