MANILA, Philippines - Google welcomed the Year of the Wooden Horse with an animated doodle on its homepage.

As seen by the search engine's visitors, the latest Google Doodle features a girl riding a wooden horse and a boy with Chinese lanterns and firecrackers.

Clicking on the Doodle will provide Google search results for "Chinese New Year 2014."

On its homepage, Google also provided a link that will take visitors to a special page regarding Chinese New Year preparations and celebrations.

"As life gets busier, we can forget what makes this holiday so special. Discover how Google can help you get more out of your Chinese New Year," Google said on the special webpage.

According to Google, Doodles are the "fun, surprising, and sometimes spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists."

Over 1,000 Doodles have been created for homepages around the world, Google said.
