Horse stamps released
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Postal Corp. (PHLPost) has released four designs of the Year of the Horse stamp for 2014.
PHLPost produced 55,000 pieces of the Year of the Horse stamps, which would be sold at P10 each. It also manufactured 7,000 copies of the souvenir sheet, which would be sold at P80 per piece.
The special stamps measure 40 millimeters x 30 millimeters. Written on the stamps are the greetings “Manigong Bagong Taon†and “Happy New Year.â€
PHLPost in-house layout artists Jose Antonio Jayme and Jan Michael Manuel made the stamps, which the PHLPost would sell from Dec. 2 until Dec. 31 next year.
According to websites, 2014 is the Year of the Green Wood Horse that would begin on Jan. 31 next year.
Horse people are described to be active, energetic, intelligent and confident. They are travelers, love being in a crowd, work hard and are good in handling finances.
