Career Guide Job Fair is another storming success

MANILA, Philippines - Thousands of jobseekers flocked to the first day of The Philippine STAR’s Career Guide Job Fair, making it another remarkable success.

Considered as the best place for quality talent acquisition, the job fair featured thousands of career opportunities from the country’s leading employers.

With exhibitors from various businesses and organizations, the two-day event attracted a huge crowd of eager job hunters, including fresh graduates, professionals planning a career shift, and other individuals searching for better career options and taking advantage of the thousands of job opportunities available.

Today’s turnout is expected to be even bigger, with a total of 18,000 participants estimated to attend the two-day job fair.

In the first hour alone of day one, a big crowd of attendees started queuing up at the Megatrade Hall 2 of SM Megamall to meet prospective employers and begin the application process.

“We’re expecting more people to attend the day two of the job fair as we have many domestic and international career opportunities that they can take advantage of,” said Bimbo Andrade, marketing manager and Career Guide head at The Philippine STAR.

Awaiting these jobseekers are thousands of jobs from recruiters across a wide spectrum of industries, including business process outsourcing, real-estate, financial services, retail, telecoms, as well as overseas employment agencies, among others.

Among the available positions to be filled were call center representatives, property specialists, and many others. The job fair also showcased jobs abroad for tourism and hospitality professionals, skilled workers, engineers, and construction workers, among others.

“We are very happy to see more and more people joining us in this big event. We are also grateful for the support of our participants from different companies. They all make this job fair a great success,” Andrade said.

The Career Guide Job Fair is also celebrating the 10th anniversary of Work Abroad, who has been a solid partner of Career Guide since the last few years.

The Career Guide Job Fair is ongoing until 5 p.m. today at the SM Megamall Megatrade Hall 2.
