Priest loses car to thieves

- Jerry Botial -

MANILA, Philippines - Thieves stole a parish priest’s car that was parked behind a church convent yesterday in Valenzuela City.

Fr. Ranilo Trillana, 54, of the Sto. Cristo Parish Church on Kapitan Akong street in Barangay Marulas, personally reported the theft to the police.

In his statement to the police, Trillana said he noticed his 2008 model Isuzu Sportivo Infinite Gold (RST-127) was missing at around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

He told investigators that he had always parked his car in the same place for years.

He said this was the first time that he lost his car to thieves.

Trillana said that previously, only accessories like the side mirrors have been stolen by petty thieves.

An alarm has been raised for the stolen car, police said.
