Noy's birthday wish: Changes to happen faster

MANILA, Philippines –  President Aquino’s wish on his 51st birthday on Tuesday is for the changes in the country to happen more speedily.

“That the process of transforming our society and making our people’s lives better happen at a faster pace,” the President said in a text message.

Aquino would not say if he would have any kind of celebration but presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda had announced that the President would have a full schedule on his birthday.

Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office Secretary Ricky Carandang said there would still be a lot of “paperwork, meetings and briefings” for the President on Tuesday.

Lacierda wished the President the best in all his endeavors as Chief Executive.

“I hope he will continue to serve our government and our country. I believe in the President. The reason why I joined government is that I believe in the advocacies of the President and I continue to believe that he is doing the right thing for our country,” he said.
