WED TV: Say I do to an island wedding
July 28, 2004 | 12:00am
A new television show that helps viewers plan island weddings has started to air on RPN-9 every Monday at 11 p.m.
WED TV aims to promote the country as an island wedding venue by featuring the Philippine wedding scene as well as the countrys best island wedding destinations and honeymoon hot spots.
The shows producers, Redfinn Productions, claim WED TV is the first wedding-travel television show in the country. It is hosted by stage actor-singer JM Rodriguez and his partner, Jo Orros.
WED TV, as a "quad-media" show, will have feature segments on 89.1 Wave FM, text-in promos and trivia contests by Tincan Mobile Solutions, print and web support from philstar.com, and a pocket-sized handbook called WED TV Diaries that will feature wedding tips, honeymoon destinations, directory listings and various hotels, bars, resorts and restaurants.
The shows producers will also give out a free island wedding at the end of the season. Male viewers can also have a date with Orros by texting her their "sweetest proposal," while Rodriguez can help viewers serenade the man or woman of their dreams.
