MANILA, Philippines —  In observance of World Pan de sal Day tomorrow, Kamuning Bakery Café will distribute 100,000 free pan de sal, celebrating Filipino heritage and promoting food security.

The event will be held at the 87-year-old bakery in Barangay Kamuning, Quezon City, coinciding with the United Nations’ World Food Day.

First Lady Liza Marcos has expressed support for the event.

“Pan de sal may be simple, but it holds a special place in every Filipino home. It brings families together and provides nourishment to many,” she said.

In partnership with the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc., Kamuning Bakery Café supports rural education through public school-building donations.

Three school buildings have been donated in Pangasinan, Tarlac and Eastern Samar.

Established in 2015, Kamuning Bakery Café is owned by realty entrepreneur Wilson Lee Flores.
