P10.69 million shabu found in box of wedding dress

MANILA, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated street value of P10.69 million has been found in a box containing a wedding dress that arrived at the port of Clark in Pampanga.
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) said the illegal substance weighing 1,573 grams was hidden within the double walling of the cardboard box.
Based on the label, the package was shipped from Mexico to a resident in Mandaluyong City.
Agents of the BOC and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency subjected the package to an x-ray examination, which revealed suspicious images.
A full physical examination showed no traces of illegal substance on the garment.
Customs examiners dismantled the packaging and found four plastic sachets believed to contain shabu between the walls of the box.
