MANILA, Philippines — Even as the rainy season has started, water levels in eight key dams in Luzon continue to recede, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

PAGASA said that of the eight reservoirs, San Roque Dam in Pangasinan recorded the largest decline in the elevation with 230.99 meters from the normal level of 280.

Angat Dam in Bulacan dipped to 165.48 meters from its normal level of 210.

Pantabangan Dam in Nueva Ecija is down to 183 meters from its normal level of 216.

Magat Dam in Isabela, which normal water level is 190 meters, decreased to 171.38.

Ipo Dam in Bulacan posted 99.66 meters, slightly lower than its normal level of 101.1.

La Mesa dipped slightly to 79.8 meters from the normal 80.15.

Two others, Ambuklao and Binga dams in Benguet, also showed declining water levels.
