Octogenarian, 2 others hogtied, killed in Nueva Ecija

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — Three people were found dead in Barangay Baloc in Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija on Saturday, police said.
The three, including 82-year-old Romulo Sangalang, were hogtied and bore gunshots in the head.
Police identified his companions as driver Theodore Sangalang and household helper Rose Yuson.
In a report to Nueva Ecija police chief Col. Heryl Bruno, investigators said the octogenarian and his driver were found outside a shipping container, which they used as living quarters.
The woman was lying dead near the bed with multiple gunshot wounds.
Documents inside the shipping container and in a car owned by the elder Sangalang were in disarray.
“The door lock of the container van had been forcibly destroyed, and the cabinets inside were in disarray,” police reported.
Investigators found several cartridges of caliber .45 and 9mm pistols.
Brig. Gen. Jessie Mendez, Central Luzon police director, ordered the Nueva Ecija police to investigate the case further as well as to identify and arrest the suspects.
