MANILA, Philippines — Over 11,000 people sought medical assistance from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) as they cast their votes during Monday’s midterm elections.
PRC volunteers provided medical aid to 11,745 voters and monitored the vital signs of 11,531 people.
Nine voters were transported to hospitals by PRC ambulances.
The PRC has positioned 412 first aid stations, 182 welfare desks and 67 ambulances for the elections.
