3,572 jobseekers hired on the spot – DOLE

MANILA, Philippines — Over 3,000 job applicants were able to find employment after participating in government-initiated job fairs, the Department of Labor and Employment reported yesterday.

DOLE Assistant Secretary Patrick Patriwirawan said 244,000 vacancies were offered in 128 job fairs since January.

Patriwirawan said 3,572 jobseekers were hired on the spot.

He advised new graduates and other job applicants to visit the nearest Public Employment Service Office for job vacancies.
