MANILA, Philippines — The Kabataang Barangay (KB) will mark its 50th founding anniversary tomorrow with a gathering of former youth leaders from Metro Manila and various provinces who will relive the spirit of service, unity and leadership that shaped their lives.

The celebration will be held at the original leadership training campsite on Mt. Makiling in Los Baños, Laguna, near the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Hotel.

The event will start with a wreath-laying at the Rizal Monument, a tribute to the national hero and reflection on the KB’s commitment to nation-building.

The ceremony will be followed by a motorcade to Makiling, with former youth leaders waving flags and banners to signify camaraderie and pride.

The event will be highlighted by the unveiling of the Kabataang Barangay marker, which symbolizes the legacy, ideals and impact of the KB across generations.
