Man electrocuted at flooding project

EJ Macababbad - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Authorities recovered yesterday a body found floating at a flooding project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Pasay, possibly killed by electrocution.

Barangay watchmen were patrolling along Andrews Avenue when they heard an explosion at around 7:15 a.m. near the depot of the Light Rail Transit Authority, according to police.

Authorities identified the 50-year-old victim only as Dante.

Police presumed that the man was electrocuted as they noticed burned electric wires in the area that caused a power interruption in Barangay 191.

A resident told police that the man was seen holding a hacksaw before he was found dead.
