BI nabs Korean, German ‘undesirable aliens’

MANILA, Philippines — A German and a Korean, both wanted by the International Criminal Police Organization or Interpol, were arrested by the Bureau of Immigration in Angeles City, Pampanga.
BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said Klaus Dieter Boekhoff, 60, and Ryu Hoijong, 48, were arrested “pursuant to notices issued by the Interpol, which sought help in locating and arresting these fugitives.”
Boekhoff is wanted in Germany for Internet fraud. South Korean authorities are looking for Ryu for allegedly stealing and selling a car in 2015.
The two “undesirable aliens” are detained at the BI custodial facility at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City until deportation.
