MANILA, Philippines — Authorities intercepted on Saturday a Hong Kong-bound Filipina carrying P1.2 million in undeclared cash at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

The 61-year-old passenger failed to present authorization or a permit from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas upon questioning.

Taking cash above P50,000 out of the country requires authorization from the central bank.
