CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — One of three wanted men who engaged police in a shootout on Friday was killed in a gunfight in Guinayangan town in Quezon on Saturday night.

Col. Ruben Lacuesta, Quezon police director, said Richard Rabe, who was wanted for murder and tagged as leader of a criminal group, was killed when he fired at members of a police tracking team.

On Friday, Rabe and his group fired at police officers who were serving a warrant of arrest issued by a court in Ligao City, Albay. Four police officers were wounded in the incident.

Police then formed a team to track Rabe and his cohorts Roy Armillo and Magno Rivera. The tracking team found them at a safehouse in Barangay Lubigan.
