MANILA, Philippines — A female member of “Luffy” gang, believed to be engaged in fraud and extortion, was arrested by Bureau of Immigration (BI) agents in Makati City.

In a statement, the BI said its Fugitive Search Unit arrested Natsuki Kimura along Ayala Avenue on Friday.

Kimura, 33, was allegedly a telephone operator for Luffy’s international scamming operations. She has a warrant of arrest for theft issued by a summary court in Tokyo.

Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said the Japanese government reported Kimura’s presence in the country.

“Like her co-conspirators in the syndicate, she will be deported, blacklisted and banned from re-entering the Philippines,” Viado said.
