Fire hits Marikina warehouse
Firefighters respond to a fire that struck a warehouse at a residential area in Barangay Malanday, Marikina City yesterday.

MANILA, Philippines — A warehouse in Barangay Malanday, Marikina City was razed by fire yesterday, leaving one person injured.

Personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and volunteer firefighters responded.

The fire started at 11:21 a.m. and reached the third alarm before it was put out at 5:13 p.m.

Sofromeo Castelo Jr., 57, was taken to a hospital for first degree burns.

Arson probers are still investigating the cause of the fire.
