Boatmen rescue 7 fishermen off Pangasinan
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has reported the rescue of seven fishermen from a half-submerged fishing boat 90 nautical miles west of Agno town in Pangasinan.
Based on initial reports, the PCG said the seven were rescued by the crew of fishing boat Carme Badeth 1 on Dec. 24.
The Carme Badeth 1 transferred the rescued men on Dec. 27 to fishing boat Dexter Zam, which brought them to Barangay Cato in Infanta, Pangasinan where they were turned over to the PCG sub-station.
The fishermen’s boat, Faith Natanniel, was towed by another fishing boat, the Prince Nathan 1, to the shoreline of Barangay Cato.
After a health check, the PCG-Infanta and local officials allowed the fishermen to go back to their respective families.
