MANILA, Philippines — A tricycle driver allegedly selling illegal firecrackers in Sampaloc, Manila was arrested on Saturday.

Mark Joseph Oropesa, 35, allegedly sold 1,000 and 500 rounds of Judas belt, two bundles of kwitis, 17 pieces of Goodbye Philippines, 19 pieces of kabase, 10 three-star firecrackers, three bundles of five-star firecrackers, nine boxes of piccolo, nine boxes of big bawang special and two boxes of pop pops.

Personnel of the Sampaloc police station apprehended Oropesa, who is facing charges of violating Republic Act 7183, which regulates the sale, manufacture, distribution and use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices.
