CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — The newly appointed chief of the Quezon police assumed the post yesterday afternoon.
Col. Ruben Lacuesta replaced Col. Ledon Monte following a turnover ceremony held at Camp General Nakar in Lucena City.
Lacuesta, formerly chief of the Caloocan police, is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 2000.
He vowed to continue the policy and legacy of Monte, who served the province for two-and-a-half years.
Meanwhile, in Laguna, two chiefs of police were replaced in line with the reshuffle being implemented by the Calabarzon police.
Lt. Col. John Eric Antonio of the Cabuyao police and Maj. Paul Ayon of the Nagcarlan police were replaced by Lt. Col. Rexpher Gaoiran and Maj. Rene Cairel, respectively.
Gaoiran and Cairel assumed the posts following a turnover ceremony led by Lt. Col. Arnel Pagulan, deputy provincial director for operation, at Kampo Heneral Paciano Rizal.
