MANILA, Philippines — Minimum wage earners and household workers or kasambahay in Bicol region are expected to receive a salary increase soon.
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Bicol said it would conduct a public consultation on the wage adjustment in Sorsogon City tomorrow.
The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) said the wage consultation would focus on the salary rates of workers in the private sector as well as kasambahay.
“The deliberation aims to gather insights and feedback on wage issues and potential increases to ensure a comprehensive review of the current wage conditions,” the NWPC said. “The RTWPB is expected to issue a wage order after the hearing.”
