Central Luzon workers to get pay hike
MANILA, Philippines — Minimum wage earners in Central Luzon are expected to receive a pay hike, according to the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board.
The RTWPB in Central Luzon said a series of public consultations has been set as part of the process to determine the increase in the minimum wage in the region.
The last wage order, which increased by P40 the daily minimum wage in Central Luzon, was issued in October 2023.
The wage board said the first in a series of public consultations would be conducted on Aug. 20 in Bulacan, Pampanga and Tarlac.
Similar activities will be conducted on Aug. 30 in Bataan and Zambales, and on Sept. 10 in Nueva Ecija.
The final public consultation will be on Sept. 12 in Baler, Aurora.
Acting wage board secretary Kenneth Liza urged all stakeholders to participate in the public hearings, saying these are crucial for employees and employers to express their concerns.
