8 Calabarzon cop chiefs replaced
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Another eight chiefs of police have been replaced from their posts as part of the ongoing reshuffle being implemented by the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) police.
The chiefs of Calauan, Cavinti, Kalayaan, Luisiana, Sta. Cruz, Siniloan and Victoria police were removed from their posts for being under rank.
The Mabitac police chief was replaced due to inadequacies noted by a team formed by the Calabarzon police to inspect the area.
Named as officers-in-charge of Calauan and Sta. Cruz police were Lt. Cols. Arvin Avelino and Mark Julius Rebanal, respectively.
Meanwhile, Majors Fernildo de Castro, Reden Valdez, Kelvin Kim Zita, Gerald Balansi, Celso Jhune Talampas and Gerry Malipol were designated as officers-in-charge of the Siniloan, Victoria, Kalayaan, Luisiana, Cavinti and Mabitac police, respectively.
On Thursday, Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rommel Franciso Marbil said it is up to PNP regional and provincial directors to implement a reshuffle based on the performance of concerned police officials.
