13 hurt in 3-bus collision on EDSA

MANILA, Philippines — Thirteen passengers were injured after three buses collided along the EDSA Carousel in Pasay on Sunday.

According to a report from the Department of Transportation (DOTr)’s Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation, a Nicolas bus crashed into a Saint Martin bus, which hit another bus.

Traffic investigators said the Saint Martin bus and the other bus were unloading passengers when the mishap occurred at 11:44 p.m.

The driver of the Nicolas bus said its brakes malfunctioned, causing the accident.

The passengers suffered minor injuries.

They were given first aid treatment by personnel of the Pasay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

The passengers were brought to the Pasay General Hospital.
