TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines — Police confiscated 1,450 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P9.86 million, in a sting in Cortes town yesterday.

The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), along with the Cortes town police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, arrested Mark Nino Padonia and Mark Joevan Sasi who reportedly transacted with operatives during the operation.

Lt. Mark Jucel Reburiano, PDEU chief, said two Barangay Dela Paz councilors and a media representative witnessed the inventory of the drug and other items seized from the suspects.

The Cortes police is also preparing charges of possession of illegal drugs against the two suspects.
