P7.2 million dried marijuana seized in Benguet

TUBA, Benguet Philippines — Dried marijuana leaves worth P7.2 million were recovered in an anti-narcotics operation along Kennon Road in Tuba, Benguet yesterday.

Arnel Guidayos, 26, a resident of Kibungan town, was arrested after selling 60 pieces of dried marijuana leaves and stalks to an undercover agent.

Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Calabarzon  and the Cordilleras conducted the operation.

In Bataan, provincial police director Col. Palmer Tria said shabu worth P2.3 million was confiscated from two ”high-value” suspects, whom he did not identify, in Barangay Mt. View in Mariveles town.

Tria said the suspects also yielded a caliber .45 pistol.
