3 fake Pasay government employees caught

MANILA, Philippines — Three people posing as Pasay City government employees were arrested on Jan. 31 for forging documents and swindling.

In a statement yesterday, the city government said Absamin Hadjizaman, Leopoldo Bayotas III and Jerick Boy Canlas allegedly posed as city hall employees and offered their services to process business licenses.

Charges of syndicated estafa and falsification of documents have been filed against the suspects before the city prosecutor’s office.

Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano warned the public to be wary of unauthorized transactions.
