4 dead in Lucena City fire

MANILA, Philippines — Four people died and another was injured when a fire razed 15 houses in Barangay 1 in Lucena City, Quezon yesterday.

The fatalities were identified as Lolit Lubiano, 72; Mark Raniel Hernando, 8; Juanito Hernando, 65, and Jay Mark Hernando, 18.

A certain Coleng Punzalan suffered burns.

The fire, which broke out at 4:15 a.m., was declared out at 6:26 a.m.

The city government gave assurance that it would provide assistance to the victims.
