FDA warns vs unregistered herbal medicine

MANILA, Philippines — The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cautioned the public against the purchase and use of two unregistered herbal medications.

Tin’s Organics Herbs & Mint Herbal Mentholated Rub and Mineral Eye Drops Natural Source Perfect Solution have no proper certificate of production registration from the FDA.

“The abovementioned drug products have not gone through the registration process of the agency and have not been issued with proper authorization in the form of a certificate of product registration,” the FDA said in an advisory.

The use of the two unregistered medications may pose a potential danger to health, according to the FDA.
