ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A suspect in the killing of a couple and their daughter in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi was killed in an alleged shootout with law enforcers on Thursday.
Datu Muntasir Tutuh Kadil was killed while his two companions managed to escape, police said.
A caliber .38 revolver was reportedly recovered at the scene.
The shootout occurred as police conducted a follow-up operation after Bonhee Paradji, Mariam Chua and their daughter Maimona, who were reported missing on Dec. 10, were found dead in Barangay Luuk Pandan.
The suspects are said to residing near the area where the bodies of the victims were found.
Probers have yet to determine the motive for the killing of the couple and their daughter.
