MANILA, Philippines — San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora yesterday led the distribution of livelihood packages to 402 persons who used drugs or PWUDs.

The program is part of the local government’s efforts to maintain the city’s rating as 100 percent drug-free.

Some of the beneficiaries have graduated from the community-based rehabilitation program. The others are still undergoing rehabilitation.

“They have shown commitment to change and have cooperated well in the program,” Zamora said.

The PWUDs received a sack of rice, hygiene kits, three dozen eggs, and bags of groceries containing canned goods, coffee, milk, noodles, biscuits, cooking oil and condiments.
