MANILA, Philippines — The International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage or Antipolo Cathedral will resume next month its “Pilgrimage Season,” which was suspended for more than two years due to the COVID pandemic.
In a post on Facebook, the church urged Catholics, especially devotees of the Blessed Virgin to participate in the “Season of Pilgrimage 2023,” which will run from May 2 until July 4 .
“We will continue the tradition and we are inviting you to come and join the celebration and prayer through devotion to the Blessed Virgin of Antipolo,” the cathedral administrator said.
It reminded Catholics to welcome all devotees of the Blessed Virgin Mary who will join the “Pilgrimage Season.”
The event will kick off with a motorcade from the Antipolo Cathedral to Quiapo Church at 7 a.m. on April 29, followed by a welcome mass at 10 a.m. and a farewell mass at 6 p.m. on April 30.
A “Walk for Peace” will start from Quiapo Church to Antipolo Cathedral on April 30.
The arrival mass of the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Antipolo will be held at 5 a.m. on May 1.
