Drunk ex-soldier opens fire; 3 hurt

NUEVA ECIJA, Philippines — Three persons were injured when a former soldier opened fire in Cabanatuan City on Friday.

Rolando Agregado, 73, Editha Agregado and a five-year old boy, all residents of Barangay Camp Tinio were wounded, reports reaching Col. Richard Caballero, acting Nueva Ecija police director, showed.

The victims were taken to the Nueva Ecija Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment.

Initial investigation showed the suspect, Ronillo Sanchez, who was reportedly drunk, shot the victims following a misunderstanding with Rolando, also a former military personnel.

Responding law enforcers arrested Sanchez. He reportedly yielded a 12-gauge shotgun and bullets.

He is facing charges for three counts of frustrated homicide.
