MANILA, Philippines — Five police officers and a former lawman have been arrested by operatives of the police Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group for alleged involvement in various crimes, the IMEG reported yesterday.

IMEG chief Brig. Gen. Samuel Nacion identified one of the policemen as Pat. David Bolor Jr., who has a pending warrant of arrest for frustrated murder.

Bolor was apprehended in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig on July 17.

Three personnel of the Biñan City, Laguna police drug enforcement unit were collared on July 15 after they were implicated in a shooting.

They are Corporals Mark Jefferon Arzola and Gerald Casanova and Pat. Amiel Howell Alcantara.

Another policeman, S/Sgt. Mikhail Almazan, a member of the Highway Patrol Group intelligence division at Camp Crame, was arrested for allegedly violating Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

A former lawman, Rodrigo Sanoy, was nabbed in Sampaloc, Manila on murder charges.

“I commend our operatives for the successful manhunt operations to uphold the rule of law and bring wanted persons in jail and have them accountable for the crimes they committed,” Nacion said in a statement.
