ANGELES CITY, Philippines — At least 107 Aetas residing in Barangay Sapangbato in this city received their first dose of the anti-COVID vaccine on Friday.
The inoculation was conducted through the Ronda Bakuna sa Barangay, wherein residents are vaccinated at home.
Aside from the 107 Aetas who received their first dose, 45 others received their second dose and became fully vaccinated.
The activity was part of the city’s observance of the Indigenous People’s Month.
The city government distributed P2,000 in livelihood assistance, food packages, organic vegetable seeds and cans of milk to 313 Aeta families in the village.
