BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — A policewoman assigned at the Southern Police District in Taguig City who went to her hometown in Abra is in hot water for allegedly presenting fake reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT–PCR) test results.
Emarie Joy Garcia, 31, and five members of her family presented their swab test results and Safe, Swift and Smart Passage or S-pass at a checkpoint in San Quintin town on their way to Daguioman on Thursday.
When personnel of the Daguioman rural health unit verified the RT-PCR results, it was confirmed that the molecular laboratory in the document did not conduct the test.
Abra Gov. Jocelyn Bernos said the policewoman would be held liable for breach of health protocols.
