Man kills daughter, 4

MANILA, Philippines — A 28-year-old man was arrested yesterday after allegedly killing his four-year-old daughter in Quezon City.

Lougie Carpeso was taken into police custody following the incident, which occurred at their home in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon at around 1:15 a.m.

Probers said Carpeso and his wife gave medicine to the girl and her younger brother, who were both running a fever.

Carpeso reportedly got angry after his daughter refused to take the medicine and started crying, prompting him to punch the child twice on the abdomen.

Carpeso and his wife panicked after they saw the girl having difficulty breathing.

The couple rushed the girl to the hospital, but the child died at around 3:24 a.m.
