BALANGA, Bataan, Philippines — Operations in a hospital, three banks and two supermarkets in this city were interrupted by bomb threats on Monday.
The Balanga City police and Metro Bataan Development Authority received two phone calls at about 8 a.m. claiming bombs were planted at the St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Bank of the Philippine Islands, two branches of Banco de Oro and Elizabeth Bodega and Waltermart supermarkets.
“Bomb experts inspected the areas but found no bomb,” Col. Jesus Rebua, Bataan police director, said.
Rebua said they are tracing the phone numbers used by the suspects.
