CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Two persons were arrested for selling dog meat in Barangay Bantug Bulalo, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija on Friday.
Eight kilos of dog meat were seized from Catalino Cruz, 46, and Lourdez Cajucom, 51, Lt. Col. Ponciano Zafra, city police chief, said.
Records show that 10 kilos of dog meat were seized during a raid on the store of the suspects on May 21. The suspects eluded arrest.
Cruz and Cajucom are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9482 or the Anti-Rabies Act and RA 10536 or the Amended Meat Inspection Code.
