LIST: Roads closed, alternate routes in Manila for Undas 2019

Several roads would be closed in the city of Manila starting October 31.

MANILA, Philippines —  Several roads would be closed in the City of Manila starting October 31.

This, after the Manila Police District-Traffic Enforcement Unit issued a traffic advisory for Undas 2019.

The road closures would begin at 10 p.m. of October 31 until November 3.

The MPD-TEU also released a list of areas where motorists could park as well as alternate routes.

Closed roads

  • Stretch to Aurora Boulevard from Dimasalang to Rizal Avenue

  • Stretch of Dimasalang from Makiling to Blumentritt

  • Stretch of P. Guevarra from Cavite to Pampanga

  • Stretch of Blumentritt from A. Bonifacio to P. Guevarra

  • Stretch of Retiro from Dimasalang to Blumentritt Extensions

  • Stretch of Leonor Rivera from Cavite to Aurora Boulevard

Parking areas

  • Stretch of Craig Street

  • Stretch of Simon Stret

  • Stretch of Felix Huertas Street

  • Stretch of Sulu Street

  • Stretch of Oroquieta Street

  • Stretch of Metrica Street

Rerouting of PUJs bound for the North Cemetery

  • Public Utility Jeeps (PUJ) coming from Rizal Avenue / Blumentritt shall take Cavite right LK. Rivera or Isagani right Antipolo to point of destination

  • PUJ coming from Amoranto Street (from Quezon City) right Calavite, right Bonifacio to point of destination. (Loading and unloading before Amoranto/Calavite)

  • PUJ coming from Dimasalang right Makiling right Maceda to point of destination. (Loading and unloding after Maceda / Makiling)

No parking both sides tow-away zones

  • Retiro – Blumentritt and from Aurora/Blumentritt to Bonifacio Avenue up to Laon-Laan, Dimasalang from North Cemetery gate to Makiling
  • Laon-Laan (Bulaklak) – Dos Castillas, Don Quixote and Maria Clara, Carola and Aragon 
  • Other streets including re-routing areas

The traffic authority also added that left side parallel parking is only for one-way streets. 

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso earlier declared the suspension of classes and government work in the nation's capital to pave way for passengers who would return to their respective provinces for Undas. — Rosette Adel
