MANILA, Philippines — A “basag kotse” suspect was killed by police in an alleged encounter in Malate, Manila before dawn yesterday.
The still unidentified suspect, around 30 to 35 years old with the name “Boy Cadua” tattooed on his chest, was killed by police officers who allegedly caught him breaking the glass window of a Toyota Fortuner parked in front of Harrison Plaza mall.
The suspect reportedly drew his firearm, triggering the encounter.
Police said six .38 caliber bullets, a .38 caliber revolver and a fragment of a 9mm bullet casing were found at the scene.
